Finished in Mr David Yellow with a vintage white pickguard and roasted maple neck, this Granada Special is a striking take on Ancoats' Tele-inspired design. Around the workshop it has become known as the "Lemon Cheesecake" guitar, while Hugh insists on calling it the "Khruangbin" guitar.

This build pairs two of my favourite pickups: a Staple Tele bridge pickup and a G Bucker in the neck, complete with its distinctive multi-coloured cover. Together they offer an exceptionally versatile range of sounds. The bridge delivers clarity, snap and plenty of character, while the neck pickup adds warmth, depth and richness. Blended together, they produce a balanced, articulate tone that works beautifully for everything from clean rhythm playing to more driven lead sounds.

As with every Granada, the lightweight body and comfortable contours make it a pleasure to play whether you're on stage, in the studio or at home. The roasted maple neck provides excellent stability and a smooth playing feel, while its darker caramel colouring complements the bright finish perfectly.

The result is a guitar that looks every bit as distinctive as it sounds – a unique Granada Special with a pickup combination that continues to be one of my personal favourites.
